Because the Holy Spirit's teaching has been disregarded in a place where discord is prevalent. In contrast to their spiritual disposition, the Corinthians are chastised for their earthly one. The latter submits to the spirit's direction through apostolic teaching, whereas the former is self-serving. These people were spiritual babies even though they had been Christians for a number of years. They should have been far past that immature period, but they still required milk (elementary teaching). Their childish fussing, which was motivated by jealousy and showed up as contentiousness, was a reflection of their immaturity.[/size]

What's the message? to find the lost and rescue them. We need to be rooted in the Word and the Faith in order to accomplish this. We need to develop spiritually. Furthermore, we must continue to learn and not assume that we have mastered all that God's Word has to teach. In order to shine my light and lead others to the Lord, I pray that I will continue to grow and learn.[/size]
